On Thursday, July 7, Chester Theatre Company (CTC) opens Birds of North America by Anna Ouyang Moench, a beautiful look at a father and daughter who find in birding a surprising way to connect—to understand more about themselves, each other, and the changing world around them.

After two seasons away, Chester Theatre Company (CTC), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer, will return to the Town Hall Theatre, its beloved home in Chester, MA.

Co-founded by Vincent Dowling and H. Newman Marsh in 1990 with the belief that every town should have a professional theatre, Chester Theatre Company (formerly The Miniature Theatre of Chester) prepares to celebrate its landmark 30th Season with four works, each a New England Premiere.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) is proud to present Amherst native Annie Baker's The Aliens in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA from August 9 through August 19, 2018.   Jasper and KJ, both suffering from 'failure to launch,' have created their own universe behind a local coffee shop, where the dumpster smells last week's lattes. Enter Evan, an impressionable new employee/high school student intrigued by the pair's unconventional charm. While the two impart their 'wisdom' on their new, young friend, life's great pleasures like literature and music are savored along with its bitter brew.  

Old Library Theatre, Fair Lawn Recreation Department's resident theater company and NJACT's 2017 Community Theater of the Year, will proudly present the New Jersey Premier of: Catch Me If You Can on October 20, 21, 27 & 28, 2017 at 8:00pm and October 22 & 29 at 2:00pm.

Two animated series caught the attention of the judges at the 2017 Just For Laughs pitch competition, this year composed of two separate programs - the CBC Comedy Originals Pitch Program and Stand Up 'N Pitch. In all, four projects were selected as part of this year's competition.

Playhouse South presents Terrence McNally's Catch Me If You Can. Catch Me If You Can is a high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, this splashy spectacle follows the adventures of a globetrotting con artist named Frank Abagnale, Jr.

This weekend, Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN played host to Hampton Roads' supporters of the arts with THE MAIN Event: A Weekend Celebration for the Arts presented by TowneBank.  Starting with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and followed with a full schedule of visual and performing art experiences throughout the weekend, including Saturday Headliner Kelli O'Hara, The Main Event closed out the weekend with an oversized check presentation to the Business Consortium for Arts Support in the amount of $581,000.

It's that time of year again-and one of the city's grand annual traditions has returned to the stage, with fresh faces to add excitement to an already wonderful celebration of the Yuletide season. Ford's Theatre Society's production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol brightens downtown Washington with its irrepressible good cheer and optimism-at a time when many are in real need of it.

Beginning Monday, October 31, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts will offer free admission to guests bringing nonperishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee on Mondays through December. The items most needed by Second Harvest this year are peanut butter, canned chicken or tuna, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta and cereal. Since 2012, visitors to the Frist Center have donated 20,989 pounds of food, which equates to 17,491 meals.

Michael Lifshitz, one of the two producing partners behind MNM Productions, presented checks of approximately $2,800 each to both theMetropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches (MCCPB) and Joy MCC in Orlando during the weekly service last Sunday morning. Both faith communities are dedicated to serving their local LGBTQ communities, which is particularly important since the horrific massacre last June in Orlando. The funds were raised during the recent run of the highly acclaimed production ofTHE WORLD GOES 'ROUND at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse in West Palm Beach.

Exposure the Musical has been 12 years in the making and Mike Dyer's production has finally arrived at the St James Theatre. Written after the death of his father and while he was recovering from a serious motorcycle accident, the musical takes inspiration from Marlowe's Faustus, although this time instead of a scholar, the one signing their soul to the devil is a photographer.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 18th Annual Festival from August 8 - 24, 2014. Each year the festival presents programming by nearly 200 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies. General FringeNYC applications for 2014 are currently being accepted for participants in all genres (theatre, dance, puppetry, performance art, multi-media, etc.). Separate FringeAL FRESCO (free outdoor events) and FringeJR (children's programming) applications are also available.
