Wyckoff Directs DIXIE SWIM CLUB For Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre

Bobby Wyckoff, a favorite of audiences at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre, directs The Dixie Swim Club, the latest offering from the playwriting team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, running August 23-September 30 at the dinner theatre located at 8204 Highway 100 in West Nashville.

The Dixie Swim Club, a comedy by Jones, Hope and Wooten, is the story of five southern women whose friendships began many years ago as teammates on their college swim team. Meeting each year at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks, their lives unfold and the years pass as these women increasingly rely on one another through advice and raucous repartee to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them. And when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives, these friends, proving the enduring power of 'teamwork', rally 'round their own with strength and love.

The Dixie Swim Club is described as "the story of five unforgettable women-a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever." The five women are played by Holly Butler, Rebekah Durham, Kelly Lapczynski, Kim Nygren and Vicki White.

The show's opening night gala is slated for Thursday, August 23, and features champagne and special appetizers. Performances are Thursday through Sunday, with evening performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday (the buffet is served from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with curtain at 8 p.m.), with Theatre in the Afternoon performances on Thursday and the first Saturday of the show's run; house opens at 11 a.m., with curtain at noon.

The Saturday matinee for The Dixie Swim Club is set for Saturday, August 25. Tickets are $19, Bring Your Own Lunch, with beverages provided or order Chaffin's Boxed Lunch when you make your reservation for an additional $8.50.

For Sunday matinees, the buffet is served from noon to 1:30 p.m., with curtain at 2 p.m.

Ticket Prices for all evening shows (Thursday through Saturday) and Sunday Matinees (prices include dinner and show) are $60 per adult; Seniors 65 & up $58; students 13-18 years of age $45; children 12 and under $35.
