In a collaborative effort to raise awareness across Tennessee of the Holocaust, the Tennessee Holocaust Commission, the Cumberland County Playhouse and Nashville Ballet will present three performances of the ballet Anne Frankon Monday, May 7, each featuring a traveling exhibit of survivor stories and a question-and-answer session with local survivors and liberators.
“Combining a performance with the exhibit of survivor stories and a live discussion provides a comprehensive set of perspectives on this momentous part of history and helps students learn about it,” Executive Director of The Tennessee Holocaust Commission Danielle Kahane-Kaminsky said. “And partnering with local organizations helps to make this piece of history more relevant and understandable.”
One performance for the public – at 7 p.m. – will include access to the exhibit of survivor stories from The Tennessee Holocaust Commission, a ballet performance of Anne Frank, a question-and-answer session with survivors and dramatic readings and dance by the Cumberland County Children’s Theater. Tickets for the public performance are $25 for adults and $12.50 for children 18 and under. Special patron tickets are also available for $50 with preferred seating. Tickets are available for purchase online, or by calling (931) 484-5000.
