April Hardcastle-Miles directs Peter Pan as Lakewood Theatre Company, chosen as 2011's BroadwayWorld.com's best community theatre, concludes its 2012 season.
Adapted for the stage by Jill Roberts Keane from the novel by J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan runs November 30- December 16, this revival of The Lakewood Theatre Young People's Troupe 2004 production is the ideal outing for the young and young-at-heart.
Peter Pan, a magical boy who refuses to grow up, brings the Darling children from their home to Neverland, where they have adventures with Indians, The Lost Boys, and the dreaded Captain Hook and his crew of pirates. Wendy Darling, quite enchanted with Peter, must decide whether to return home to grow up or remain forever in Neverland.
Peter Pan is directed by Hardcastle Miles and features a strong youth cast, supported by adult actors. William Welch and Peyton Chevalier lead the cast as Peter and Wendy, Doug Allen fills the dual roles Mr. Darling and Captain Hook, and BroadwayWorld.com Best Actress winner Heather Vaughn-Alexander portrays Mrs. Darling.
