Bobby Wyckoff, a favorite of audiences at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre, directs The Dixie Swim Club, the latest offering from the playwriting team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, running August 23-September 30 at the dinner theatre located at 8204 Highway 100 in West Nashville.

The Dixie Swim Club, a comedy by Jones, Hope and Wooten, is the story of five southern women whose friendships began many years ago as teammates on their college swim team. Meeting each year at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks, their lives unfold and the years pass as these women increasingly rely on one another through advice and raucous repartee to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them. And when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives, these friends, proving the enduring power of 'teamwork', rally 'round their own with strength and love.

The Dixie Swim Club is described as "the story of five unforgettable women-a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever." The five women are played by Holly Butler, Rebekah Durham, Kelly Lapczynski, Kim Nygren and Vicki White.

The show's opening night gala is slated for Thursday, August 23, and features champagne and special appetizers.
