Curtain goes up Thursday night, August 23, on the regional premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, directed by George W. Manus Jr. for Murfreesboro's Out Front on Main.

Guirgis' 2005 play uses flashbacks to an imagined childhood and lawyers who call for the testimonies of such witnesses as Mother Teresa, Caiaphas, Saint Monica, Sigmund Freud, Pontius Pilate and Satan.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot boast a cast of 14 actors and tells the story of a court case to determine the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot. The play features Holly Amber, Patrick Goedicke, Michael Rex, Zach Parker, Michael Adcock, Lila Tuck, Jan Parrish Hendon, Luke Patton, Bryan Arroyd, Maryjean Goedicke, Tori Doll, Jon Anderson, with Peter Depp as Jesus and Blair Thompson as Judas. 

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot runs August 23-September 1, with performances Thursday through Sunday nights at 7:30 p.m.
